Inter remembered former defender Mauro Bellugi, who sadly passed away yesterday at the age of 71, in a post on their Twitter page.
The former Italy international, who had his legs amputated in December of last year after complications stemming from his battle with Covid-19, made 136 appearances across all competitions for the Nerazzurri across a five-year period.
In that time, he won a league title with the Milanese club, before moving to Bologna, where he spent five more years and won a Coppa Italia.
Inter remembered him in a post on Twitter, saying: “A great man, a great footballer and a great Inter player has left us today, ciao Mauro.”
Oggi ci lascia un grande uomo, un grande calciatore, un grande Interista: ciao Mauro 🙏⚫️🔵#FCIM
