Inter are set to miss out on the chance to sign Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic in the summer, according to an Italian media report today.
As per Corriere Fiorentino, the Viola are working on signing their stars to new deals but there is no chance that Serbian defender Milenkovic will put pen to paper on another contract.
Inter are big admirers of the central defender but as per the Florence-based publication, he is likely headed for England with a host of Premier League clubs believed to be keen on signing him.
Milenkovic’s contract is due to expire at the end of next season and Fiorentina are to demand a sum between €30-35 million to let him go.
Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move for the 23-year-old, who has made 24 appearances across all competitions this term for Cesare Prandelli’s team, in which he has scored two goals and provided a single assist.
Milenkovic missed Fiorentina’s 2-0 defeat at home to Inter on February 5 through suspension, having been sent off during their previous league match at Torino.
