Inter striker Romelu Lukaku’s goal in the Nerazzurri’s 3-0 win over AC Milan made him the first player to score in four successive Derby della Madonnina matches since 1950.
The Belgium international completed the scoring in the second half after Lautaro Martinez’s brace, and netted in the Coppa Italia in January and Inter’s league defeat in October.
Lukaku also scored in last season’s 4-2 win, prompting Opta to tweet that he was the first Inter player to achieve the feat since Benito Lorenzi in 1950.
“4 – Prior to Romelu Lukaku, the last Inter player to score in four consecutive Milan derbies in Serie A was Benito Lorenzi, in 1950. Poison,” Opta tweeted.
