Inter are keen on Roma centre-back Gianluca Mancini, according to a report in the Italian media today.
The 24-year-old is a key figure for Giallorossi head coach Paulo Fonseca, especially given the defensive emergency Roma are experiencing due to injuries.
Corriere dello Sport’s print edition today said Inter had placed their eyes on Mancini, along with Premier League side Everton.
Mancini’s excellent form in the last two seasons is said to have made him an attractive proposition for clubs in the transfer market.
Inter suffered at the hands of the defender during last month’s 2-2 draw at the Stadio Olimpico, with Mancini heading in a late equaliser for Roma.
He has made 22 appearances in all competitions under Fonseca this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
Mancini played the full 90 minutes again on Sunday when Roma missed the chance to close on second-placed AC Milan, as they were held to a goalless draw by 10-man Benevento.
