Barcelona have set their sights on Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni, according to an Italian media report.
CalcioMercato.com, citing reports in the Spanish media, claimed last night that the 21-year-old is a transfer target for Ronald Koeman’s side ahead of the summer transfer window.
Bastoni has continued his impressive development under Antonio Conte this season, establishing himself as one of the best young defenders on the planet.
He produced another strong performance yesterday as Inter defeated Genoa 3-0 at San Siro.
Inter are thought to be preparing a new contract for Bastoni before the end of the season, as per reports earlier this month, as a reward for the centre-back’s excellent form.
Bastoni has been near ever present for Inter this season, having appeared in 29 of the Nerazzurri’s 34 games across all competitions.
The Italy international, who is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022-23 season, has provided a total of three assists this season.
