Inter’s former striker Eder has denied giving an interview to attack the Nerazzurri’s owners Suning yesterday.
Suning announced over the weekend that they were ceasing operations at Jiangsu FC, winding up the club which won its first Chinese Super League title in November.
Eder was reported as having told Oriental Sports Daily that Suning ‘disrespected everyone’ at the club, but the 34-year-old wished to clarify where he was speaking.
While not denying he had made the comments in question, he tweeted: “I never gave any interview to any site or newspaper.
“Somebody reported a private chat (wechat) in which the team and directors are present.
“I will only speak further ahead when everything has been sorted, thanks.”
Eder scored one of the goals in last season’s play-off final against Guangzhou Evergrande which handed Jiangsu FC the league title.
He is now without a club after Suning’s decision to close business, having been linked with a return to Inter in the January transfer window.
Eder spent two and a half seasons at Inter after joining the Nerazzurri on Roberto Mancini’s request in January 2016.
He helped Inter secure their long-awaited return to the UEFA Champions League under Luciano Spalletti in 2018.
Non ho mai rilasciato nessuna intervista a nessun sito o giornale, é stata riportata da qualcuno una chat privata (wechat) nella quale sono presenti squadra e dirigenti.
Parlerò solamente più avanti quando tutto sarà sistemato. Grazie— Eder citadin martins (@Edercitadin7) March 2, 2021
