Romelu Lukaku’s sensational goal-scoring form for Inter was put into perspective by stats company Opta today.

The Belgian has found the net 58 times in all competitions since joining the Nerazzurri from Manchester United in 2019.

As referenced by FcInterNews.it, only two players in Europe’s so-called top five leagues have scored more than Lukaku since the start of the 2019-20 season.

Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski leads the way with a monstrous 89 goals in all competitions, ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus with 63.

Lukaku found the net for the 24th time this season on Sunday, breaking the deadlock in Inter’s 3-0 win over Genoa inside 32 seconds.

He will look to add to his tally for the Nerazzurri tomorrow when Antonio Conte’s side visit Parma on matchday 25 of Serie A.

Lukaku is one booking away from suspension but Conte made it very clear today that he will not rest his star striker at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

A report in Gazzetta dello Sport on Wednesday revealed just how desperate Conte was to sign Lukaku in 2019, pushing his relations with the Nerazzurri’s management to breaking point.
