Christian Eriksen is proof that everyone at Inter knows exactly what to do now, according to the Nerazzurri’s former striker David Suazo.

Eriksen has completely transformed his fortunes in Milan during recent weeks, having gone from being certain to leave in January to becoming a key figure in Antonio Conte’s side.

He was even described by one report in Italy yesterday as ‘the prince’ of Inter’s midfield, having impressed again during Sunday’s 3-0 win over Genoa.

“Whoever plays knows how to play and what to do, and Eriksen is proof of this,” former Honduras international Suazo remarked in an interview last night with Inter’s official channel, Inter TV.

“He has settled in well and is showing that Conte has got his way in the end, because he knew Eriksen needed a bit more time.

“Eriksen has turned himself into a key player for Inter.”

Suazo, who made a total of 41 appearances for Inter between 2007 and 2011, also spoke about the Nerazzurri’s bid to win the Serie A title this season.

Conte’s side are three points clear of AC Milan after the Rossoneri drew with Udinese last night.

“It is obvious that all the Nerazzurri fans are very happy and have very high expectations,” he continued.

“The players are thinking now that after achieving everything they’ve done, they need to confirm it all.

“It will not be easy but they have to do it match after match, playing in a positive way.”

Suazo, who also played for Cagliari during his playing career, also warned his former side not to expect an easy ride during their Scudetto run-in.

“From now on I think that all the matches are delicate,” he argued ahead of tonight’s critical match away at Parma.

“The expectations have grown after overtaking AC Milan at the top of the table, after a great performance by winning a fantastic derby.”
