Inter have received a blow to their hopes of signing David de Gea from Manchester United this summer.
The Nerazzurri were linked with a move for the Spanish goalkeeper last month, along with Serie A title rivals Juventus.
However, TodoFichajes.com have claimed today that De Gea, who has been relegated to the bench at Manchester United, wants to return to La Liga instead in order to be closer to his family.
The 30-year-old, whose contract expires in the summer of 2023, is even prepared to reduce his salary to secure a move.
Barcelona would like a back-up to Marc Andre Ter-Stegen while Real Madrid would welcome the possibility of having De Gea in their team to provide competition for current number one Thibaut Courtois.
A return to former club Atletico Madrid is not off the cards either, especially if Jan Oblak is to leave amid interest from Chelsea.
Valencia or Villarreal are possibilities if Manchester United open up to loaning out De Gea.
Inter would appear to be out of the running with this news though, meaning they will have to look elsewhere to source a replacement for Samir Handanovic.
