Today is Inter’s 113th birthday and it will be the last Inter birthday where Suning are in charge of the club, according to an Italian media report today.

As per Corriere dello Sport’s print edition, Inter will change hands at the end of the season with the Chinese e-commerce giants currently in talks with at least three parties.

Suning, who bought Inter from Erick Thohir in the summer of 2016 are in discussions with British private equity fund BC Partners, with these talks being the most advanced.

They are also in talks with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia.

The Chinese company are also talking with one of Fortress or Bain Capital regarding a loan.

Inter are suffering from a lack of liquidity due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Chinese government restrictions, and it would seem that Suning’s recent 23% sale of Suning.com – which earned them €1.9 billion – will not stop them from offloading Inter, based on this report.
