Inter made an attempt to sign Armando Izzo from Torino last summer, according to an Italian media report today.
As per Tuttosport’s print edition, the Nerazzurri’s tried to bring the Italian central defender but failed to do so after they were unwilling to meet Torino president Urbano Cairo’s demands for the 29-year-old.
Inter have been linked with signing Izzo in several of the past transfer windows, especially since Antonio Conte took charge at the club with it having been reported that Conte is a big fan of the former Genoa player.
Inter will have the chance to watch Izzo up close this weekend, with them due to play Torino on Sunday afternoon at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.
Whether Inter perhaps make a fresh attempt for Izzo come the summer transfer window remains to be seen.
Izzo has scored two goals in 14 appearances across all competitions for Torino during the current campaign.
