Inter are unlikely to sign Nikola Milenkovic anytime soon, at least according to a report in the Italian media today.
As per Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition, Manchester United are leading the race when it comes to attempting to sign the Fiorentina centre-back.
Both Inter and AC Milan have long chased the former Partizan Belgrade player, who is out of contract with La Viola at the end of next season and will not sign a contract extension.
Fiorentina’s sporting director Daniele Prade has previously stated they would sell Milenkovic if he did not put pen to paper on a new contract – but it looks as if the 23-year-old won’t be teaming up with Antonio Conte at San Siro.
Multiple reports have stated Fiorentina valued Milenkovic as high as €40 million, although it is unclear whether they still value him as highly the closer his contract gets to expiring.
This season the Serbian international has made 28 appearances, in which he has scored three goals and provided a single assist.
