Nicolo Barella was once again Inter’s best midfielder during their win at Torino yesterday, according to a report in the Italian media.
Barella played the full 90 minutes as Antonio Conte’s side pulled nine points clear at the top of Serie A with a 2-1 victory.
Tuttosport’s print edition gave the 24-year-old a rating of 6.5/10 for his display at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.
“He was always reactive, you could find him in every area of the pitch,” the Turin-based paper argued.
Lautaro Martinez took by far the highest rating for the Nerazzurri, with his involvement in Inter’s penalty incident and his late header earning a score of 8/10.
Samir Handanovic, Milan Skriniar, Marcelo Brozovic, Ivan Perisic, Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez were all rated 6/10, meanwhile.
Christian Eriksen came on and changed the game with the pass that led to Inter’s penalty, yet the Dane was bizarrely given a rating of only 5.5/10 because he ‘gave a sense of slowness’.
Roberto Gagliardini somehow received the same score as Eriksen, along with Stefan de Vrij and Achraf Hakimi.
Alessandro Bastoni had the worst rating with 5/10, criticised for losing Lyanco in the first half when the Brazilian hit the post from close range.
