Only a disaster can stop Inter becoming Serie A champions now, according to the Nerazzurri’s former forward Antonio Cassano.
Inter find themselves in a commanding position in the standings with 11 games to spare, currently boasting a nine-point advantage over second-placed AC Milan.
Antonio Conte’s side managed to recover the gap between themselves and the Rossoneri and have not looked back since, with eight league wins in a row putting them in a great position to win the Scudetto.
“It would take a disaster for Inter to lose their lead, but there will be no problems,” Cassano assured during a broadcast on Bobo TV, the Twitch channel of former Inter striker Christian Vieri.
“They’ve dealt a big blow in the league table by beating Torino.
“As Cristian Stellini said and everyone pointed out, Inter didn’t have a great match despite having had more chances than Torino.
“I didn’t like their performance but Alexis Sanchez provided a sensational ball for the great goal from Lautaro Martinez.
“It’s the season in which everything goes well for Inter.
“Inter are nine points ahead of AC Milan in second or maybe seven ahead of Juventus [if they win game in hand versus Napoli].”
In conclusion Cassano, who played for Inter during the 2012-13 season, spoke on what Inter need when they come up against defensive teams that they have to try and break down.
“If Inter come up against defensive teams, they have difficulty and they need a moment of individual inspiration,” FantAntonio added.
