Matias Vecino has taken to Instagram to share his delight after making a long-awaited return to first-team action.
Vecino came on as a substitute during Inter’s 2-1 win at Torino on Sunday and it was his first senior appearance since last July, having undergone knee surgery last summer.
The Uruguayan national team player came on in the 88th minute of the match at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, which Antonio Conte’s side won thanks to goals from Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.
Vecino posted: “Very happy for yesterday’s win and also for my return to the pitch after so long!
“For sure it was not easy to be away all this time away, but it is already just a bad memory.
“I have more enthusiasm than ever for this final stretch of the season, which will have to unforgettable…
