Antonio Conte has identified his number one priority ahead of the summer transfer window, according to a report in the Italian media.
Corriere dello Sport’s print edition today said the Inter boss wants a left-footed wing-back who can cross the ball like Achraf Hakimi on the opposite flank.
Inter have completed more crosses than any other team in Serie A this season, with 165 compared to second-placed Lazio with 132.
They are also the side to have scored most headed goals with 13, four more than title rivals Juventus who are ranked second.
CdS suggested Inter’s numbers in the air would be even stronger if they had a left-sided player who could cross reliably, similar to Juan Cuadrado at Juventus.
In any case, the report said Christian Eriksen had already given Conte’s side a hand in that regard with his set-piece deliveries in recent weeks.
Inter were linked with a move for Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri elsewhere in Italy today.
