Inter are facing a decisive day on Monday as they wait to find out if training can resume, following an outbreak of COVID-19 at the club.

The Nerazzurri are currently isolating, following a ruling by the local health authority (ASL), after reporting four positive cases over the course of the past week and saw today’s Serie A match against Sassuolo this evening.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are awaiting a decision by the ASL to lift their ban on group training should the Nerazzurri continue to post negative tests across the weekend.

The current ruling is set to expire at midnight on Sunday and should no more cases be reported, Antonio Conte’s team will be able to regroup.

In addition, Inter could see players depart for international duty after initially being ordered to remain in Milan until the end of the month. This would be dependent on negative tests on Monday, and guarantees of protocol being followed before the ASL would consider allowing players to travel.

Any players called up would be required to travel privately and maintain isolation on international duty, including taking all meals in their own rooms rather than communally.
