Inter Loanee Radja Nainggolan Wants To Re-Join Cagliari Permanently, Italian Media Claim

Radja Nainggolan wants to make his loan move to Cagliari permanent, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said the Inter midfielder intends to spend the remainder of his career in Sardinia, where he has been playing since January in a third stint with the Rossoblu.

Every option remains on the table for Nainggolan’s future in the summer, with the Belgian still contracted to Inter until the end of next season.

Nainggolan will have to help Cagliari secure their survival in Serie A this season before he can think about staying at the club longer, the Rome-based publication noted.

The 32-year-old has made no secret of the fact he wants to stay with Cagliari but there will be no updates until he speaks to Inter in the summer.

Nainggolan could even ask Inter to rescind his contract to facilitate a move, although the report did not specify whether the Nerazzurri would be prepared to accept such an arrangement.

He has made 13 appearances in all competitions for Cagliari since joining in January, playing five times as a substitute for Inter during the first half of the campaign.
