Inter would have to cough up €40 million if they wished to sign Robin Gosens from Atalanta, a report in the Italian media revealed today.
Corriere della Sera’s print edition said Juventus and Manchester City remained interest in the wing-back, who has again impressed for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side this season.
Reporting this news, NerazzurriSiamoNoi.it confirmed Gosens was still ‘a dream’ transfer target for Antonio Conte as Inter seek reinforcements for their left-hand side.
They warned it would not be easy for Inter to invest so much money when revenue was low and the club had so many financial difficulties – but they also said it was not impossible.
Inter’s eventual prize money from winning the Serie A title, coupled with new investors (either as minority shareholders alongside Suning or as new owners), could provide the resources they needed to chase Gosens.
The 26-year-old has made 34 appearances in all competitions for Atalanta this season, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists.
