Inter have no intention of letting Romelu Lukaku leave the club this summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Calciomercato.com said Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman had added the striker to his summer transfer list, joining Manchester City in expressing an interest for the Belgian.
Lukaku has scored 19 goals in 26 appearances in Serie A for the Nerazzurri this season, and is one of two targets identified by Barcelona up front (along with former AC Milan forward Andre Silva, now at Eintracht Frankfurt).
However, Inter do not want to lose their star striker who is leading Antonio Conte’s side towards the club’s first league title since 2010.
Lukaku was on the score-sheet again for Belgium on Wednesday when his second-half penalty secured a 3-1 win for the Red Devils over Wales.
Roberto Martinez’s side will be depending on the 27-year-old for their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, just as much as Conte will be for Inter’s Serie A title bid.
