Inter defender Aleksandar Kolarov is edging closer to a departure from the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The Serbia international joined the Nerazzurri from Roma last summer on an initial one-year deal, with the option of a second, but has fallen down the pecking order under coach Antonio Conte.

According to FCInterNews.it, the league leaders are reluctant to extend his contract and Kolarov is facing an exit, prompting Sampdoria to begin making enquiries as a replacement for Vasco Regini.

Atalanta have also shown an interest in the 35-year-old as they seek additional competition at left-back, whilst a switch to Bologna would see Kolarov unite with compatriot Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Bologna sporting director Walter Sabatini also enjoys a strong relationship with the defender, having brought him to Serie A at Lazio in 2007, and the Rossoblu may be willing to offer him a two-year deal.

Outside of Italy, Turkish giants Galatasaray remain interested, having tried to sign Kolarov before moves to both Manchester City and Roma in the past.

Kolarov has made 11 appearances for Inter in his debut season across all competitions.
