Inter are in talks with two groups over a potential deal to become the Nerazzurri’s new shirt sponsor, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Pirelli will end their 26-year collaboration as Inter’s main sponsor at the end of this season, having brought in €234 million to the club (plus however much they pay this season).
Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said Inter’s Italian directors were in talks with an American and an English group, while Suning are exploring the Asian market back in China.
Inter’s objective is to secure €25-30 million from their new shirt sponsorship deal, which would be much more than Pirelli were previously guaranteeing them annually.
Nike are preparing Inter’s shirts for next season without the sponsor badge in place, which will be added at a later data.
Chinese group Evergrande had been linked previously with the position, but the government’s decision to block most strategic investments abroad means their interest is all but over.
Inter are hoping their negotiations with groups can be boosted by the launch of their new logo tomorrow.
