Inter will pay Real Madrid their €10 million instalment for Achraf Hakimi’s transfer fee today, according to a report in the Italian media.
Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said the Nerazzurri would hold a board meeting today, with Inter president Steven Zhang in attendance from China via a video link.
Everything points towards today being the right day for Inter to complete all their payments ahead of tomorrow’s UEFA deadline.
In addition to the payment for Hakimi, Inter will also reportedly pay their players their outstanding salaries for the month of January.
Inter have also yet to pay the wages for November and December last year, but they reached an agreement with the squad earlier this year to defer those until the end of the season.
The Rome-based publication’s report also mentioned that Inter needed to revisit their agreement with Manchester United regarding Romelu Lukaku’s club-record transfer fee.
No further details were offered on what this could entail.
