Stefano Sensi took to social media on Sunday night to celebrate Italy’s victory in their latest FIFA World Cup qualifier.

The Inter midfielder made his first start for club or country since September, playing 68 minutes as Roberto Mancini’s side secured a 2-0 win in Bulgaria.

Antonio Conte will be hoping Sensi’s game time could help him kick-start his career with the Nerazzurri, which has been ravaged by injury issues since he joined in 2019.

Sensi posted on Instagram: “Step by step, united, as a team.

“An important win for our journey (towards Qatar 2022)!”
