Ivan Perisic is ready to give Inter his full attention again as the Nerazzurri prepare for their Serie A title run-in.
The midfielder has been focused on all things Croatia during the past fortnight, having helped Zlatko Dalic’s side to six points from their opening three games in FIFA World Cup qualifying.
Perisic will now return to Appiano Gentile where Antonio Conte is awaiting him ahead of Saturday’s trip to Bologna.
“We know how to secure qualification (for Qatar 2o22) and we’re not afraid,” Perisic told Nova TV after Croatia’s 3-0 win at home to Malta on Tuesday.
“We can’t focus on others, we have to focus on ourselves and try to make up the gap to the top by picking up points.
“Now we want to finish the season in the best way possible with our clubs and then think about the European Championships.”
Inter seemed to have no room for Perisic during the first half of the season as Conte struggled to turn the 32-year-old into a left wing-back.
Perisic has settled into his new position brilliantly since the end of January, however, and is now considered untouchable on the left wing.
He scored and provided an assist for Croatia against Malta, despite only playing the final 36 minutes as a substitute.
Perisic started the previous two games, a defeat to Slovenia and a win at home to Cyprus.
