Stefan de Vrij has tested negative for COVID-19 today, according to an Italian media report.

FcInter1908.it said the Inter defender was officially recovered from the virus after testing positive on March 18.

De Vrij is therefore available for Antonio Conte again and can set his sights on the Nerazzurri’s Serie A fixture away at Bologna on Saturday.

The 29-year-old must obtain clearance to re-join training and then he will attempt to regain fitness ahead of the trip to the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

Samir Handanovic and Matias Vecino have also tested negative for COVID-19 this week, meaning Danilo D’Ambrosio is the only Inter player left with the virus.

Conte almost has his squad back to full strength again after having it decimated throughout the international break.

De Vrij’s positive COVID-19 test, along with that of Vecino, was what caused Inter’s match against Sassuolo to be postponed on the orders of Milan’s local health authority.
