Andrei Radu is set to leave Inter again in the summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Gazzetta dello Sport‘s online edition said the Romanian was destined to depart on loan, having not played a single minute of football under Antonio Conte this season.
Radu was due to make his first senior appearance for Inter since 2016 before the international break, when Samir Handanovic tested positive for COVID-19 prior to the match at home to Sassuolo.
However, the 23-year-old was denied some much sought-after game time when the game was postponed and rescheduled for this coming Wednesday.
Analysing Inter’s likely transfer strategy with regard to their goalkeepers, the Milan-based publication said Handanovic had nothing to prove ahead of next season and would stay.
The Slovenian has yet to begin talks with Inter over a new contract, with his current deal expiring in 2022, but more strong performances between now and the end of the season would inevitably strengthen his case for a renewal.
Daniele Padelli is out of contract at the end of this season, meanwhile, and his future remains uncertain.
Inter will sit down with the 35-year-old in the summer to discuss his future together.
