Inter could be about to bring in €7 million from the sale of on-loan goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio, according to a report in the Italian media.

Di Gregorio joined Serie B club Monza on a season-long loan last summer, where he has since kept 11 clean sheets in 22 appearances across all competitions.

Calciomercato.com said Inter would discuss the 23-year-old’s future at the end of the season, but Di Gregorio could join Cristian Brocchi’s side permanently for the above fee.

The Nerazzurri would want to keep a buy-back option for the Italian if they decided to let him go.

Inter’s summer transfer plans will be hampered by the COVID-19 pandemic like all clubs, meaning they need to collect as much money as possible from player sales.

Offloading players currently out on loan could be a good way of bringing in funds for the club’s directors, with Antonio Conte requiring reinforcements for the 2021-22 campaign.
