Inter have shown adaptability in approaching matches this season and it has been a key factor in their success, Italian journalist Marco Bucciantini suggested.
Antonio Conte’s side secured an 11th consecutive win this afternoon as they beat Cagliari 1-0 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Serie A, with the only goal coming late in the second half through Matteo Darmian.
Appearing as a guest on Italian television channel Sky Sport Italia earlier today, Bucciantini spoke of the change in approach that Inter had taken, whilst insisting that they had controlled the game in midfield to push forward.
“Inter do what needs to be done sometimes, but today they played in Cagliari’s half and we saw [Stefano] Sensi and [Christian] Eriksen together,” the journalist stated.
“We have seen several versions of Inter this season but at a certain point the way things have changed becomes more important.”
The Nerazzurri enjoy an 11-point gap over AC Milan at the top of the Serie A table with just eight games remaining, as they close in on a first Scudetto in over a decade.
Inter travel to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona next Sunday to face Napoli, as they look to maintain their winning run.
