Inter are in a strong position to sign Real Betis defender Aissa Mandi on a free transfer, according to a report in the Spanish media.
Estadio Deportivo (via Calciomercato.com) said the Nerazzurri were pressing to sign the 29-year-old, offering Mandi a four-year deal worth €2 million annually.
Mandi is out of contract with Real Betis in the summer and is expected to inform the La Liga club of his decision regarding a renewal next week.
Barring huge surprises, the Algerian international will tell the Andalusian outfit that he wants to move elsewhere and try a new experience.
Inter are said to be in pole position to sign Mandi if he decides to leave as expected, ahead of Lyon and other unnamed clubs.
Mandi has played for Real Betis since 2016 and has scored three goals and provided two assists for Manuel Pellegrini’s side this season.
He was part of the Algeria side which won the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, along with AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer.
