Antonio Conte should have Ivan Perisic back from injury for Inter’s match at Napoli on Sunday, according to a report in the Italian media.
Tuttosport’s print edition said Perisic would resume full training with his Nerazzurri teammates in midweek, having shaken off his muscular fatigue problem.
Inter’s players are not due back at Appiano Gentile until Wednesday, with Conte giving them two days off after yesterday’s win over Cagliari.
Aleksandar Kolarov will need slightly longer than Perisic – who was on the bench at San Siro – before coming back into the group, the Turin-based paper added.
Inter maintained their 11-point lead at the top of the Serie A table with a 1-0 win over struggling Cagliari at San Siro.
Matteo Darmian struck 13 minutes from time to secure an 11th straight league win for Antonio Conte’s side, moving them one step closer to winning the Scudetto.
Inter return to action at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona next weekend, where they will hope for a repeat of their 1-0 win over Napoli back in December.
