Inter have a plan to lower Udinese’s asking price for Rodrigo de Paul, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Tuttosport’s print edition confirmed that the Nerazzurri were keen on signing De Paul and said they would have tried to bring him in already during January, had Inter not been suffering from their well-documented financial problems.
De Paul is valued at €40 million by Udinese and also has interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
Inter could attempt to lower the asking price by offering players such as Andrea Pinamonti or Lucien Agoume as part of a deal, the Turin-based paper suggested.
Elsewhere, Inter continue to monitor the situation regarding Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, who is available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
However, the 30-year-old’s wage demands are said to be ‘very high’ and this could scupper any move for the Nerazzurri.
Inter could also consider a move for Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez, the report continued, especially if the Rossoblu were to be relegated from Serie A.
Matias Vecino, meanwhile, is expected to leave Inter in the summer.
