Antonio Conte and Beppe Marotta are both anxiously awaiting to hear Suning’s future plans for Inter, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere della Sera’s print edition said neither had any intention of leaving Inter and nor did any other member of the club’s coaching staff or management.

However, everybody’s future will be determined by how Suning program Inter’s future, despite Conte and Marotta both being under contract until 2022.

The report warned Inter could not afford to go through another season like the current one, which has been plagued by constant speculation over the club’s corporate problems.

CdS said it would be ‘out of order’ for anyone to talk about who Inter could sign for next season’s UEFA Champions League, because there is no certainty over who will even be conducting their transfer business yet.

Conte has always made it clear he wants to stay at Inter long-term but everybody is waiting for clarity about what happens from the summer onwards.

Suning’s first task at the end of the season will be to ensure they do not delay Inter’s salary payments any further than the end of May, the report warned.

“Steven Zhang and Suning have built this Inter and now they need to explain where they want to take it,” the Milan-based paper concluded.
