Inter’s likely Serie A title triumph will give them a boost in their hunt for a new main shirt sponsor, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Tuttosport’s print edition said Nerazzurri president Steven Zhang would address the issue upon his return to Milan, which could happen as early as next week.

Inter are running out of time to source a replacement for Pirelli, whose 26-year collaboration will end on 30 June, but Suning are helped by their excellent position in the league table.

Samsung remain in contention to become the next shirt sponsor, with the report suggesting they could be tempted by the prospect of joining forces with the new Serie A champions.

The South Korean conglomerate is also in talks with Serie A over a deal to have their name associated with the league’s VAR rooms.

However, this would not be a problem with regard to becoming Inter’s shirt sponsor as the two agreements are thought to be worth very different sums of money.
