Antonio Conte is set for talks with Inter president Steven Zhang upon his return to Milan in midweek, according to a report in the Italian media today.
FcInterNews.it said Conte would seek clarification from Zhang regarding Inter’s corporate problems this season, which have prevented the club from paying salaries on time and spending in the transfer market.
Inter’s boss has performed a ‘psychologist’ role as well as being a coach in recent months, having to isolate his players from the rumours which have circulated for most of this season.
Conte is therefore due to ask Zhang to clear up Inter’s future prospects so that they can begin planning for next season with everyone on the same page.
Some sources have claimed Conte is on the verge of signing a contract extension at Inter, but this report assured there was nothing of the sort in place yet.
Conte has never discussed neither his future nor the idea of extending his deal with the Nerazzurri, instead remaining totally focused on his bid to bring the Serie A title back to San Siro.
