Inter have no intention of selling Lautaro Martinez in the summer, according to a leading Italian broadcaster tonight.

The Nerazzurri are known to be in a difficult financial position and one report this morning claimed they could sacrifice Lautaro to balance their books.

Sky Sport Italia (via FcInter1908.it) confirmed Lautaro had a lot of admirers across Europe, with many teams ready to begin talks with Inter and sign the striker.

However, Inter are determined to keep hold of all their star players for next season and resist any advances they receive.

Lautaro is attracting interest because of his age, quality, goal-scoring ability and personality, but the Nerazzurri want to keep their spine as it is for Antonio Conte.

Sky argued this would already be a success of sorts for the club, in a market where everyone will be struggling financially and lots will be forced to sell against their wishes.

Inter’s owners Suning will look to reduce costs in the transfer window, the report added, but they have to sort their corporate issued before turning attention to the summer.

It seems they are on the way to doing this though, with Suning closing on a €270 million loan deal which will enable Inter to meet all their remaining payment obligations until the end of the season.

Inter president Steven Zhang visited the players at Appiano Gentile today and thanked them for ‘an exceptional journey’, with Antonio Conte’s side on the brink of securing the Serie A title.

He asked the Nerazzurri for ‘one last push’ ahead of tomorrow’s crucial match away to Crotone.
