After agreeing to take over at Roma next season, Jose Mourinho has already begun planning to build his squad and will challenge Inter for Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso.
The former Nerazzurri tactician will replace Paulo Fonseca at the Stadio Olimpico at the end of the campaign after being sacked by Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur last month.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, high on Mourinho’s list of priorities is a new goalkeeper to replace Pau Lopez and 27-year-old Musso has been identified.
The Giallorossi face a considerable stumbling block in Udinese’s valuation of the Argentine however, with the Zebrette ready to hold out for €25 million.
Should Roma be put off by this asking price, they will turn their attention to Mourinho’s Portuguese compatriot Rui Patricio, currently at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Musso joined Udinese from Racing Club in 2018 and has made 95 appearances, with his performances attracting the attention of Inter.
