Inter are considering cashing in on Arturo Vidal this summer, despite the midfielder only spending a single season at the club.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Nerazzurri are actively looking to cut costs this summer as they battle financial uncertainty and player wages have been identified as one of the biggest drains on club resources.

Vidal joined Inter from Barcelona last summer but his €6.5 million per season salary, coupled with an underwhelming impact on the pitch and injury issues, has prompted CEO Beppe Marotta to look to sell him at the end of the season.

The Chile international has attracted interest from abroad, with French club Marseille previously showing an interest, and Inter are hopeful that they can raise funds by offloading him.

Inter are still required to pay a bonus to Barcelona for winning the Serie A title this season, as part of a stipulation of Vidal’s move last year, but the Nerazzurri will look to make a profit on him.
