Inter’s players will deliver a collective response to Suning’s request for a wage cut, a leading Italian broadcaster explained this afternoon.

As per Sky Sport Italia, the Nerazzurri’s squad are unlikely to accept the proposal (giving up two months’ wages) and that means the club’s management will need to pursue other ways of cutting costs.

Suning cannot force Inter’s players to waive parts of their salaries and it looks as if they will not be able to convince them to make such a sacrifice.

The squad listened to Steven Zhang’s comments at Appiano Gentile yesterday and discussions could continue after tomorrow’s match against Roma.

Inter are battling serious financial problems and they need to find a way to balance their books, while also respecting their various payment obligations.

Things will become clearer after Thursday’s next talks, when Suning are expected to clarify what their future plans are for the club.

Inter’s players would need to work out whether these financial sacrifices are going to help create a winning project for the next few years, the report added.
