Inter remain keen on a deal to sign Filip Kostic from Eintracht Frankfurt, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition said the Nerazzurri were following the wing-back’s situation and waiting for further news on his future.

Kostic is described as ‘a force of nature’, having scored 26 goals and provided 46 assists during three seasons at Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.

Inter would need to make a big investment to sign the 28-year-old though, and it’s not certain they would have the financial resources (unless they sold a key player or two).

The Nerazzurri are looking to sign two left wing-backs in the summer transfer window, the Milan-based paper explained, with Ashley Young certain to leave and Ivan Perisic likely to follow him.

Federico Dimarco is expected to be one of the new arrivals, while the other one could be chosen between Kostic, Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri.

Inter have identified their targets, but now they must wait for clarity from owners Suning about their budget before they can make significant moves towards any of those players.
