Antonio Conte could make an announcement about his future before Inter lift the Serie A trophy on Sunday, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Sport Mediaset (via FcInter1908.it) said Conte could take the opportunity to ‘break his silence’ when the Nerazzurri host Udinese for their final game of the season.

Conte would clarify his future before joining the team and supporters in celebrating the Scduetto, which Inter wrapped up earlier this month with four games to spare.

The report did not offer any explanation as to why he would do this, but either way it seems Inter fans won’t have to wait much longer before everything becomes clearer.

Conte is widely expected to meet Inter president Steven Zhang in the next few days – either before or after the Udinese game – and discuss what lies ahead for the club.

Inter’s boss is intending to stay as head coach, but he wants reassurance from Zhang about Suning’s ambitions and the upcoming transfer window.
