Achraf Hakimi is determined to still be an Inter player next season, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Il Giorno’s print edition said the Moroccan international made his feelings clear yesterday when he was substituted during Inter’s 5-1 win at home to Udinese.

Hakimi attracted the attention of a TV camera before pointing to Inter’s badge on his chest, and then pointing towards the grass at San Siro.

The newspaper interpreted this gesture as Hakimi saying: “I’m staying here.”

Hakimi is keen to not leave Inter and has now silenced all the speculation suggesting he could leave in the summer, the report claimed.

However, as another source explained today, the 22-year-old made it clear in his post-match interview that he didn’t know what would happen next season.

Hakimi has scored seven goals and provided 10 assists in his first season at Inter, following a €40 million move from Real Madrid last summer.
