Sports data provider Opta took to Social Media after Ashley Young became only the second Englishman to score in different seasons for Inter.
The former Manchester United wing-back netted his first goal of the campaign on the final day yesterday, breaking the deadlock in the Nerazzurri’s 5-1 win over Udinese.
As reported in a tweet by Opta, Young is the first English player to achieve this since midfielder Paul Ince scored in 1995-96 and the following season.
“2 – Ashley Young is the first English player to have found the net in two different Serie A campaigns since Paul Ince, in 1995/96 and 1996/97, also for Inter. Lord,” Opta tweeted.
