Shakhtar Donetsk are facing competition from Fiorentina as they look to sign Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi this summer.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, new Shakhtar coach Roberto De Zerbi is keen to reunite with his former Sassuolo midfielder in Ukraine, but Sensi is not thought to be ready to leave Serie A.
This has opened the door for Fiorentina and newly appointed Gennaro Gattuso to swoop for the Italian international, with Inter open to selling as they look to raise funds.
Fellow midfielder Matias Vecino could also be set for the exit at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, as former Nerazzurri coach Luciano Spalletti is considering him after replacing Gattuso at Napoli and a €6-8 million deal could be struck.
The Partenopei may also make an approach for Croatian winger Ivan Perisic as Spalletti seeks to reunite with his former players from his spell at Inter, between 2017 and 2019.
Inter are required to raise funds before being able to make signings themselves and sporting director Piero Ausilio is focusing on offloading players currently out on loan.
The Nerazzurri hope to secure €8m by selling Joao Mario to Sporting CP after a successful season in Portugal, whilst Cagliari are working on converting Radja Nainggolan’s deal into a permanent transfer and Inter are keen to get his €4.5m salary off their wage bill.
Meanwhile, no offers have come in thus far for Dalbert or Valentino Lazaro, though Inter are keen to move them on.
