Inter’s Supercoppa Italiana clash against Juventus will be played in Saudi Arabia and will be scheduled to take place during the European winter.
The Nerazzurri will contest the trophy after winning the Serie A title this season, whilst Juventus are involved courtesy of their triumph in the Coppa Italia Final over Atalanta earlier this month.
According to L’Interista.it, the match will be played in Saudi Arabia and no fixed date has been agreed yet, but it is likely to be held in December or January.
Spectators will also be permitted to attend the match as restrictions are eased following the COVID-19 pandemic, with a hope that the global situation will have improved by the end of the year.
The most recent edition, between Juventus and Napoli, was held at Sassuolo’s Mapei Stadium but the two finals prior to that were both held in Saudi Arabia, with Jeddah hosting in 2018 and Riyadh the following year.
It has become something of a tradition to hold the Supercoppa Italiana outside Italy, with matches held in the USA, Libya, China, and Qatar before Saudi Arabia.
