Danilo D’Ambrosio is not certain to stay at Inter despite having his contract extended, according to a report in the Italian media tonight.
As per FcInter1908.it, Inter have exercised an option in the defender’s pre-existing deal – which expires on June 30 – to extend the agreement by another season.
D’Ambrosio’s agent Vincenzo Pisacane met the club’s directors at their offices in Milan today, with an official announcement due shortly.
However, D’Ambrosio could still leave Inter before next season and his future will be decided in the coming days.
Inter have several players who are out of contract on July 1 and they have asked all of them to wait before committing to a new club.
The Nerazzurri want their new head coach Simone Inzaghi to assess them, in case he wants to keep them.
D’Ambrosio was linked with a move to his hometown club Napoli recently, but the report assured the Partenopei had not made any kind of move towards the 32-year-old so far.
