Lucien Agoume is moving towards signing a contract extension at Inter, according to a report in the Italian media today.
TuttoMercatoWeb said the midfielder’s representatives met the Nerazzurri for talks at their offices in Milan, with a view to finding an agreement.
Venezia are keen on signing Agoume for the 2021-22 season, after securing promotion to Serie A via last month’s play-offs.
However, Inter are likely to keep Agoume with them for pre-season at least so Simone Inzaghi can assess the 19-year-old properly.
Agoume spent last season on loan at Spezia but struggled for regular game time under Vincenzo Italiano, despite his undeniable talent.
The French youngster made 15 appearances in all competitions, but he only started once for Spezia from February onwards (on the final day of the season, against Roma).
Inter seem to have great faith in Aguome’s ability and they are moving to tie him down to a new contract with the Nerazzurri.
