Inter consider Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri to be an ideal player for the left side of Simone Inzaghi’s preferred system.
This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista who report that the 27-year-old Italian is the number one target to play in the left-sided role of the system the new manager prefers.
At previous club Lazio the Italian tactician utilized such players as as Senad Lulic and Adam Marusic in the role, and the Chelsea left-back is thought to have the right technical characteristics to play in the position in addition to being the right age that the Nerazzurri want.
Emerson won the Champions League with Chelsea last season but does not appear to have a regular starting role under manager Thomas Tuchel so he may seek a move.
The outlet also report that Inter’s Serie A rivals Juventus are monitoring the Chelsea player.
Inter could also look to sign Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic, but the Serbian would command a fee of €20-25 million so would only be consider after the capital gain of an Achraf Hakimi sale.
