Inter have decided to try and keep two of their players whose contracts run out this summer, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported in the print edition of Tuttosport today, Simone Inzaghi has decided that Andrea Ranocchia and Ashley Young will be useful players for him as he embarks on his first season in charge of Inter.

The Nerazzurri are looking to sell and release a lot of players this summer in order to raise money and reduce the wage bill, but Andrea Ranocchia and Ashley Young appear to have avoided the chop.

Both their contracts run out this month, so they have been offered a one-year extension to June 2022. It is believed that the players have a week to respond to the club’s offers.

If they do not accept, they will at least be off the wage bill and can communicate with other clubs to find themselves a new team.
