Inter are reportedly considering Getafe’s Mathias Oliveira as an alternative to targets including Emerson Palmieri on the left side of the team, and have made exploratory contacts with the player’s agent.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that Inter could trigger the 23-year-old’s €20 million release clause with his current club.
With Ashley Young potentially set to depart for Premier League club Burnley and Ivan Perisic also looking likely to leave, a player with a left-sided profile is a priority target for the Nerazzurri in the upcoming transfer window.
Inter have been monitoring the situations of Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso at Chelsea, with the London club wanting to include a player as part of a player-plus-cash exchange for Achraf Hakimi, but the Nerazzurri are said to prefer a cash-only deal for the Moroccan and a separate deal for Emerson or Alonso.
The versatile Uruguayan Oliveira, meanwhile, has played in both the left-back and left-wing positions at Getafe and could be an attractive target for the Nerazzurri and manager Simone Inzaghi.
